I played some tournaments today starting at around noon. I busted out close to the money in the biggest one which had a $500,000 prize pool, which was disappointing. However, I took second in one for $3400 or so. The guy made unbelievably great hands when we were down to heads up, so I had very little chance as he entered heads-up play with a 2:1 chip advantage. I also lost $800 playing heads up cash when I got all in ahead twice within 5 hands. Once I had top pair vs. a flush draw, and once I had AA vs. a pair of tens and he made two pair. I had a 66% chance then a 83ish% chance of winning in those two hands. Oh well, nothing I can do about that.
There were some very good college football games on today. I loved watching Illinios beat OSU, and of course watching Nebraska put 72 (or 73) up against KSU. I found myself actually routing for UCLA over ASU even though I don't like UCLA. I guess UCLA had been beaten up bad enough this year, and I wanted ASU to take another loss because they are so over rated. Right now Florida is on, and they are always fun to watch, but I'm going to go do something because I will be planted on the couch all day tomorrow playing the big sunday online tournaments. Sunday is the day that all the sites have their big tournaments with million dollar prize pools. I'm playing well, so maybe tomorrow will be my day to take one of those.
